Pork and Sauerkraut
Serves 14
Ingredients
- 8 pound pork loin roast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground peppeer
- 3-2 pound packages of sauerkraut, drained
- 3 onions, sliced thinly
- 3 granny smith apples, cored and chopped
- 2 Tablespoons caraway seeds
- 1 can light beer
Directions
Sprinkle the pork with salt and pepper
Place the sauerkraut, onion, apple, and caraway seed in a large roasting pan and
stir to mix.
Place the pork loin on top. Pour beer over all.
Roast at 325° F. for about 30 minutes per pound until meat thermometer
reads 170° F.
